Dust Devils
Stories in the Old West
Dust Devils, the Indie RPG Game of the Year in 2002, is back with a vengeance. Relive the toughest moments of the Old West in this acclaimed game. Use the game with playing cards and poker chips to create your own exciting, powerful stories in the spirit of the Western.

The Protagonists
Dust Devils is a story-telling game set in the rugged Old West. Players portray the figures of that era, the figures we all know and love and sometimes hate — gunfighters, vaqueros, cavalrymen, settlers, sheriffs, outlaws, Comanches, Sioux, saloon girls, prospectors and more. Theyre the recognizable roles seen in Western films or figures from the history and myths of the Old West.
Premise
Shoot or give up the gun, pardner!
The premise of Dust Devils is to explore whether the protagonists will "shoot or give up the gun." Will they face their devils, or succumb to them?
Players Wanted
Three to five players, including the Dealer (GM), are probably best for a game of Dust Devils. It is a quick and evocative story game, which can easily be played as a one-shot or over a longer campaign. To play you need, apart from the game itself, a deck of regular playing cards and perhaps around ten poker chips per player. The usual suspects, pencils and papers, are also required.
